Brandano is a Red Wine, a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc grapes which are handpicked from Safina vinyards located in south Maremma Tuscany region Italy. The Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc are fermented separately in stainless still Tanks. After fermentation the wine is transferred into French Oak barrels for about twenty months. Brandano has intense red berry flavors complemented with well integrated vanilla and spicy oak characters, coupled with a soft tannin sensation.
Ideal food for starters can be Parma ham, salami or cold cuts and pasta that has red meat base. Main dish should be full flavored meat dishes such as roasted or grilled red meats, lamb or wild game. Best if served at 18°C.
